Patricia Faragone

São Paulo, Brazil

Brazilian artist and designer Patricia Faragone works at the intersection of art, collectible design, and contemporary craftsmanship, with glass as her primary medium. Her practice explores the sculptural and sensory possibilities of the material, creating compositions in which colour, transparency, memory, and function interact in unexpected ways.

Following a three-decade career in architecture and fashion, she began working with glass in 2023. Her training in glassblowing includes experiences in Brazil, New York, Berlin, and England. The craftsmanship involved in the process, which demands precision, movement, and careful control of temperature, has become central to her artistic language.

Her work draws inspiration from the visual culture of the 1970s and 1980s, Pop Art, and the Italian Memphis design movement. Sweets, food, and domestic objects inspire sculptures, lighting, and furniture that explore the boundaries between the familiar and the unexpected. In her Tutti Frutti and Tutti Frutti Goes Beyond series, blown and cast glass take on forms that evoke personal memories and challenge conventional distinctions between art, ornament, and functional objects.

Her practice also extends to fashion and textiles, exploring connections between glass, the body, and other forms of artistic expression.

In 2026, she presented her work at Collectible Brussels with BS Galleria, which subsequently expanded her solo exhibition Objects of Affection at its Brussels space. Patricia Faragone is also featured in the Homo Faber Guide, an international platform developed by the Michelangelo Foundation to celebrate craftsmanship and contemporary artisanal expertise.
