“Among Rodrigo Almeida’s creations on display here, we highlight the piece in which the wooden structure and the yellow hue stand out. In it, we observe the simultaneous use of materials and procedures characteristic of his training and practice, such as rope—present in the África Chair and the Exu Lamp, for example—as well as canvas and gold leaf, reflecting his interest in jewelry and fashion. Additionally, the boundaries between the utilitarian and the artistic become blurred and infused with color.”
